GRAVITY

all the clouds are empty now
we wade in the shallows when the tide is out
what once floated in the gentle deep
now motionless
in the gravity

gravity
holds us down
no one can see
but we are bound for all our reasons
we are broken
by our own fear

and all the strength that we possess
to make it safely up somewhere
to climb till we reached the top
but fear we’ll fall
in the gravity

bravery isn’t always clear
sometimes it’s just getting out of here
I see a pillow and you see your escape
I devise another plan
you go to work if you can

you don’t need me when you are bold
I see you searching for the end of the road
I leave to bring you yet one more cup
you leave the door open
but don’t fill it up

gravity
holds us down
no one can see

by our own fears
gravity
holds us down
can’t tell truth from our lies
wish we could float free
without this gravity
